RE: 5th Annual Parktoberfest for Parkinson’s Disease
Benefiting the Arizona Chapter of the
American Parkinson Disease Association

Dear Business Owner,

The “5th Annual Parktoberfest” Benefiting the Arizona Chapter of the American Parkinson Disease Association will once again be hosted by the Carefree Station Grill & Bar at the Spanish Village in Carefree. The event will take place on Saturday, October 17th from 2-5 pm.

Since 2005, the event has raised over $25,000 for the AZ-APDA. These funds went to support the APDA programs which directly assist people with Parkinson’s disease in the state of Arizona. Programs include the Caregiver’s Holiday respite program, Response Link emergency call button, and Exercise Program financial aid.

Planning for the 2009 Parktoberfest is now underway. Our goal in 2009 is to have more than 150 attendees raise $15,000 to support local programs for our friends and family members with Parkinson’s disease.

We are asking you to consider becoming a vendor at this event. Last year, several small business owners participated by having their items such as clothing, art, jewelry on display for sale to our attendees. They were very well received and wish to return again this year. We would like to open up this opportunity to more vendors. If you would like to participate, we will provide a display table and covered area for you and your items. We only ask that you agree to donate 20% of your sales made during the event back to AZ-APDA.

People and organizations like you are what make Carefree, Scottsdale, and the Northeast Valley such a great place to live. Thank you for considering this appeal. For more information or if you wish to become a vendor please call Tom Viviano at 602-239-3542 or email: Thomas.viviano@bannerhealth.com.

Sincerely,
